I've been sitting looking at this poem for some time now trying to think of something profound to say but I find I can't. I can tell you I like it but, in the same way as I can't explain why I like most of Magritte's work, I can't find the right words to explain it. The best I can say is that if Magritte had been a poet rather than an artist then this would be one of his.
