Women's power circles
are changing the face
of business. At $220 each
they're pricey; but now
that stainless steel face
can be replaced by any
one of a smorgasbord
of cheap inanimate
objects, whilst a QR code
reveals a previously un-
seen poster for the up-
coming Batman film.
Some things fall by
the wayside as our daily
lives become more &
more digital, but not the
"everyone is a winner"
philosophy so prevalent
in the suburbs or forcing
little girls to wear stiletto
heels whenever they go out
in public. If seeing the pink
of the rose is an illusion,
what's illusory about it?

#242 The New Years
In the closed circles of
psychic apparati, exposed
navels emphasize the
rural-urban rift. It is
from this dark rift that
the winter solstice sun
will emerge, offering
a single world with a
dichotomy of semantics
in which objects co-exist
with primitive types. More
problematic in theory
than in practice, it tends
towards a reductionist
framework. On the day
of the second new moon
after the December solstice
the new years begin.

#241 Merman Hanging from a Gibbet
Harlequin diamonds are
must-haves for fashion-
able women, now that
they are back on the map
for 'it' handbags with new
styles & such modern
colors as Waterlily Pink
& New Bronze available.
& in the home, unpinned,
stuck to the door, access-
orized with the movement
of a hanging merman, they
add a sense of drama &
visual tension to any space.

#240 The Glass Key
for Dashiell Hammett & Jo NesbøNed finds the body of a
Senator’s son on the street.
He's tall, lean, mustachioed
& tubercular. He's also
a gambler. & a big fan of
literary noir. You can use
census records & voter
lists to see where he's lived
over the years. They have
a pervasive feeling of moral
& sexual ambiguity which
may not be visible yet be-
cause of a delay in updating
the database. You can also
use them to read about
Harry's journey to Thailand.

#239 The Battle of the Argonne
Jay Gatsby leads
two machine-gun
attachments forward.
Ten of these men, the
most stubborn kind,
gave their last full

at a stall, was saved
by another pigeon.
The only stone road

the central powers.
What does givry-en-

#237 La Cascade
This is not the waterfall where
Yoshitsune washed his
horse. It does not flow or fall or
follow through. Is telescopic. In that
the mind is seen in the forest
as well as distant from it.

Diane is Betty in the dream . . . she views
her good side as dominant. Irony
abounds. Gloria Swanson says voice

I took many photos of the fall & its pools. The
original one (the first one at night) is a
proof of concept one to show to people
before creating the real one. (Irony defined:
"stated message doesn't equal real message.")
I thought it would be funny to take a picture

Alfred Korzybski gave a presentation at a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in New Orleans where he used the phrase “the map is not the territory.” Korzybski used this phrase to mean that people in general do not have access to absolute knowledge of reality, but merely possess a subset of that knowledge that is then tinted through the lenses of their own experience. He further added that it is important for people to know that their understanding of things, “the map”, is not a true representation of reality itself or everything represented by reality, or “the territory”.

#236 The Upholder of the Law
The elderly mother dresses
down for her new video
in a pair of bright red jeans
& matching lippy. She has
decided her son-in-law
is trying to poison her. The
painful irony is that he is
an Autobot who believes
in upholding the law, but
lacks the firepower to
enforce it. Plus, care &
dignity are wrapped in
so much red tape that they
become safe harbors &
provide immunity from
liability. The new moon
clings to his hat's brim like
a nose ring. Our beautiful
website is coming soon.

#235 The Forest of Paimpont
Sir Lancelot is no
longer available for
interviews &/or photo
opportunities due to the
new set of contractual
obligations he's entered
into. From here on in
it's Murdoch & the
Morgans—J.P., le Fey—
you'll be crossing swords
with. From here on in
it's Getty & 20th Century
Fox for rights & royal-
ties. This image,
taken just before he
entered La Forêt de
Paimpont for a final
time, is the last left
in the public domain, a
reminder that chevalry
is not always chivalrous.

#234 The Adulation of Space (2)

He felt happy & pain-free only
on stage, immersed in his music.
String Theory & the Geometry of
Hydroponic Strawberries. Listen
to, download, play & stream the
song. The elders only smile sadly.
I've bought eight t-shirts from
this guy. Californian worshippers
chose blindfolds. There is scepticism
in the mainstream media. Luxury
limousines drove up the stairs.
I have his posters on my wall. Will
he be able to go back to the boy
band life? Don’t forget to watch A
Thousand Kisses, Episode 37. In the
blank space alongside the photograph,
an anonymous letter-writer had
scribbled a shocking & hate-filled
message. Does it bother you that
tennis doesn't get that kind of adulation?
